DEFERMENT POLICY
Students are not allowed to defer their studies once the term has commenced. Students who wish to defer their studies have to complete the “Application for Deferment” form, obtainable from RCHE Student Services Portal, at least 30 days before commencement of New Term. The decision to grant the student deferment will be considered on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the College.
Students will only be permitted to defer once throughout their entire course of study. Students are allowed to defer their studies up to a maximum period of 3 months. Students will be deemed to have withdrawn from the programme should they fail to resume studies within 3 months.
To resume studies with the College, students have to submit the “Application for Resume of Studies” form to the College at least 30 days before commencement of New Term. Students who wish to re-enrol after deferment are subject to the following requirements:
a. The module(s) being offered in the term
b. Outstanding term/retake fees as due are paid in full
c. There is an available placed
d. There are no issues arising from (a) to (c) above
On resuming their studies, they will have to follow the curriculum in effect. This could mean a change in the number and/or content of the module(s) offered.
An administration fee of S$218 (including GST) is payable at the point of application.
No deferment is allowed for the Raffles English Language Programme and Foundation Studies Programme.
