Raffles X Dare Festival 2025

DESIGN FOR INCLUSIVITY: RAFFLES DESIGN INSTITUTE AND DARE FESTIVAL 2025

(Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development, Eric Chua, with all the performers at the DAREFestival 2025.)

At Raffles Design Institute, learning goes beyond the classroom — it’s about hands-on, real-world experiences that both challenge and inspire. Our partnership with DARE Festival 2025 is a perfect example, aligning with the festival’s celebration of creativity, courage, and the transformative power of inclusivity.

Students from Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication Design programme participated in this design challenge to conceptualise the festival campaign, and Raffles Graphic Designer CAI Zirou’s concept was selected, and she further developed the key visuals for the festival. She collaborates closely with the organisers to capture and bring to life the festival’s bold, uplifting, and inclusive spirit through her design.

DARE Festival uniquely unites artists of diverse abilities and backgrounds alongside mainstream performers across music, dance, theatre, and comedy to create a truly inspiring showcase. This year’s edition will be held on Sunday, 16 November, 7 PM at Gateway Theatre, promising an evening filled with artistic collaboration and celebration.

Zirou’s artwork is now prominently featured on the festival’s promotional materials, including the official listing on SISTIC, where tickets are now available. Prices range from S$25 to S$30, offering an opportunity to experience a powerful festival that highlights creativity and shared humanity.

MUJI Re-inspire Exhibition – Muji Re- Opening at Plaza Singapura

Raffles Designers designs MUJI Re-inspire Exhibition 2023
Muji Re- Opening at Plaza Singapura

Raffles College of Higher Education would like to congratulate MUJI Singapore on the grand opening of the largest global flagship store in Southeast Asia on 22 November 2023.

MUJI Plaza Singapura Global Flagship Store is the biggest MUJI store in Singapore to date and a significant milestone for MUJI Singapore over the 20 years in Singapore. This expansive store, covering 38,000 square feet in the heart of the city, serves as the primary anchor to display the entire comprehensive product range (across concept, scale, and variety).

Within this flagship store, “Open MUJI” is a space for MUJI Singapore to partner with local designers and creators to create exhibition and workshops, enabling MUJI Plaza Singapura to be a place for the community to exchange ideas, and for learning and education. Raffles College of Higher Education is honoured to be the FIRST education institution to present, “RE-Inspire” – the first sustainable exhibition of designs that use MUJI’s ageing and defective items in fashionable collections, jewellery accessories, lights, art installation, etc in a Zen garden.
Inspired by the comma, a mark symbolising a slight pause in the fast-paced lifestyle and representing MUJI’s appreciation of the eco-conscious practice of prolonging the shelf life of products via creative repurposing.
A RE-inspiring sustainable exhibition, and a successful collaboration by Design!
